yfz450 compared to a 250r
 

have a 2005 yfz450 and love it but theres a 250r for sale near by and im very courius about it. I want to know how the 250r compares to my yfz450. How fast is the 250r. How it rides in the trails compared to the yfz. and is there alot more maintinance compared to the yfz450. handles jumping and how loud it would be compared to my yfz. Thanx for your imput. how it

the YFZ and 250r i think handles alot alike!! u will get more dig from the 4 stroke and more jumping power... but the 250r will do the same thing if u stay on the pipe.. i think a good modded r will kill a YFZ anyday mabe not in a straight line but track yes! u got to remember they were king of the track for almost 17 years!!!! u wouldnt be disspointed with the R at all and + there is soo much more stuff and they respond better to modds.. but hey this is all MO!! i like the R better!! long live 2 strokes!

i also think that they pretty much the same in handling they are great for track and duning and with right mods you can get so much out of themand yes kill the yfz plus theya whole lot lighter iin weight and you can toss it around, and you will always get your money worh when you get a 250 r go for it own A LEGEND !!!! THE YFZ IS A GREAT QUAD ASWELL THINKING OF BUYING ONE MYSELF OR JUST STICK WITH HONDA 450TRX GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY RIDING !
