my buddy just got one of these, how do you adjust the valves?

 

When you are negotiating the price on the 05 450R Honda you should keep two things in mind.
1) The 06 450R is a greatly improved quad, much improved response. You might want to buy 06 instead. The 06 also offers electric start as an option. And with the 07 out now, 06 prices should be reduced a bit.
2) Since the 06 is so much more responsive, the prices on the 05s are drastically reduced. You need to get a very good deal to make it worthwhile, as opposed to an 06.

In any case you will be very impressed with the upgrade from the Blaster.
Valve jobs are not a big deal if you have just basic repair skills. Easier than rebuilding top ends on a Blaster.

 

What's the $ difference between 05/ and 06'? Yes the gearing is taller on the 05' and you can change the sprocket to conpensate. If I had the $ I would get the 05. I prefer the kick start over the electric.

 

big price diff between the two. $5300 out for the 05. i love my baby blaster, but would love the 450 as well. they also have an 06 electric all duncan'd out. love that one too, but too much cash...
