Utility Suspension, (extra rear shock)
#1
I am considering getting a system which adds an extra shock from the rear rack to the trailer hitch. It can be attached or removed in 5 minutes based on the application. I have times when we load the bikes to the Max for backwoods trips and flatten out a good portion of the suspension especially in the rear. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this product or has any other ideas which may help. The mono shock on the Rancher can't ride the trails and handle extreme loads and do both very well. That isn't a rip on the bike I really like it and would replace with another one if I was in the market. Oh before someone tells me about the dangers of overloading I am quite aware and balance the front and the rear however the rear gets the biggest load. A trailer would be of little use in the cross country crawl over logs rocks and very tight corners. Really would appreciate any ideas I know I am not the only one who has faced this situation and I have learned alot from others on this board.
