Fourtrax 250r vs. 450r

Was just wondering which one of these 2 would win in a race, does the good old stock 250r have a chance at stomping a 450r?

stock- no. but since the power to weight ratio is generally better, a 250r doesnt need much more than bolt ons to be competitive. it's still a better handling machine than a 450r.

From driving both of them I can agree with you on that one, the 250r does handle better than the 450's but speed wise yea I think I'll need to work on that. I love the 2 stokes though, their just so much more peppy.

Mod For Mod the 250r will beat a 450r..

Stock the 450r will when..But when you start modding them..the 250r will walk away..You put a 350pv on a 250r and it will hang with some dragbanshees...

There is one 250r that goes down to the texarkana sand drags..Dunno what all is done to it..But that thing is unreal...

Both are good quads you cant go wrong with both..

Are you talkin about drags or track ATVrider?

I have a CRF450 and a CR250, and have ridden both quad versions of these bikes, and IMO the 450 is the better performer on the track whether it be quads or bikes (especially quads due to frame and suspension technology IMO), but sumpin about those agile 2-strokes that are funner to me when playing around.

Sort of I guess, the most racing my 250r would see is competeing against my neighbors 05 450r on a nice, flat, clear straight away on the trials thats what I was talkin bout.

Give me a 250R any day.

Nothing has been close until these 450's...
But I still prefer 2 strokes over 4 strokes and likely always will.

Both have their strong points, but I still like the 2 strokes more.

To me, the Honda 450R isn't that much to write home about.
Since I'm stuck with the 450's I went with the more impressive KFX 450R.
It has the right ergos, feel, and handling.
