What irritates me is!
Those 6-packs work pretty good.

Some guys just have smaller equipment than others, Cynick!

No, I do not believe that a warrior beat the cr, I ride with a warrior regularly. (enough said) I realize that my opinion is a bias one, (but a cr85?? we have to stick up for our own bikes!) and that the cr85 has a better power to weight ratio, but I am sticking to my guns on this one. I dropped a front tooth on my 400, and it made a world of a difference. I didn't even want to mention that i beat a KDX200, cause simply, I would be thought of as a liar.
I am done trying to defend the 400 against the 80/85. I still say that the 400 takes it.

LMAO!!! Mmmmkay, I know that is a bunch of crap!!! KDX200's are not that hi-performance out of the crate, but I know for a fact hey will outrun a Raptor. I used to have one a couple years ago, and so did one of my best friends who also happens to have a Raptor. Either whoever is riding these dirtbikes are either horrible riders, or you have one of these "magical" quads that some members on here tend to have.

And what I don't understand with your logic is this.....

BTW, I have owned a 440ex, and even it still wasn't all that fast.(it was about equivelant to a stock Rappy)

I used to own a cr 80 which is older and I raced 125's for a little while, now I own an 05' trx 400 and i ride w/ a younger friend who has an 04 cr85 and they are quick as hell bikes when they hit the powerband. I raced him and on a gravel road he was a bit quicker but top end wise i could just barely pull away. So yes the 400 is faster but as far as quickness with the right rider the 85 will get up their faster.

REALLY? I can never seem to find one.

I don't think you read deezna right, you need glasses too, he even said the bike will take off quicker but the EX was quicker on top, exact same thing I said if you READ!!!

Dag gone it, I had a 440ex that wouldn't hang with a KDX, it must have not been a magic one.

Go out and race an 80 then youl find out how sad they are. Just because they a good power to weight ratio doesnt make up for the fact that they make peak power for about 10rpm lol and have no torque whatsoever.
you say the cr lacks both a powerband and torque? well EVERY atv/dirtbike has a powerband. its not a measurement of power lke torque and HP. its a term for where in the RPM range and how hard it hits its top power.

Yes I'm saying it lacks one like a 400ex has or pretty much every other thing, 2-stroke or 4, 80s powerbands are very very short. And from my own experience a 400ex would smoke 80 no problem.

I bet you were smoking something, I just doubt it was an 80.

are you sure you didnt put like a sock or a apple/potato/banana in his muffler? because cr85's are extremely fast i was in sister's car when she raced her friend on a 2005 CR85R, it definitely probably wasn't stock, but we were going 135km/h (84mph) when we finally started pulling away from it. before that we were dead even and trading positions at around 130km/h (81mph)
