Shining up an exhaust?

What is something good to use to shine an exhaust back up?? I just got a used exhaust and would like to polish it up a bit and make it look as new as possible again. Thanks for any responses!!

You can use a scotch bright pad to get the rust off if ther is any. Then you can use polish and elbow grease or a buffing wheele and some buffing compound.

Have you ever seen the ball that they sell at advanced auto. The one endorsed by Chip Foose. Connects to a drill, it works amazing. Only costs 20 dollars. You can shine a wheel back to gloss finish in minutes, i mean like 2 minutes!!

All good suggestions!!

The right way really depends on just how bad of shape its in now, and just how nice you want it to be when your finished. The material makes a difference also.

What I am getting at is that I wouldnt suggest you start polishing it with a heavy compound if its in nice shape and only dull anymore than I would suggest you polish it with mothers by hand if its heavilly tarnished or corroded etc.

All the methods offered work well, and now you only have to figure which one fits the condition of the part and expexted result.

I'm telling you all you need is a foose ball, some mothers polish, a cordless drill, and 10 minutes. The ball will fit into tight areas too. Screw all that hand work!!!

This quad looked like it was ran on the great snow and salt covered roads here in pa when I got it. Everything just looked bad. I only had about 15 min in cleaning it up. look at the cool head, no hand rubbing at all. The ball goes around the head bolts amazingly without tearing it up
