Breaking up on top end??

I am having some problems with my jetting I have ESR 310 kit w/ full drag port, 38 A/S & a FTZ drag pipe. My bike rips but when I hit 3/4 to full throttle it breaks up I am currently running a 48 pilot clip on 3rd from top and a 185main my plug looks like a medium brown but the end of my pipe is white. I had a 182 main in it and put the 185 in it but still doin it. I am running c-16 mixed @ 40:1 with maxima 927. I dont know if it is leaning out on top or if it is too fat?? What would cause the breaking up on top?? I am @ 700ft above sea level. Thanks

Generally a bog or break up at WOT is because of a rich condition.
Try this. while wide open rapidly decrease the throttle to 7/8 throttle if it runs better or smooths out then you are rich.
Run wide open and choke it a little, if it runs better then you are lean.
While wide open completely get off the gas - if it pops or backfires then the pilot is too lean.

Right on buckaroo I would definitly say it is to rich on top. You should probably be running a 55 pilot and a 175 or 178 main. I cant remember for sure without looking at mine but you should probably have the needle clip one more position down. That is what is causing the lean condition on the bottom end

Ok I will try the 178 main 55 pilot, But what would cause the end of my pipe to be white, I thought that meant a lean condition??

that is caused by your needle clip position in the low end. Like I said move the clip down one position, 55 pilot, and a 178 main and see how that works

I rejetted to 178 main 52 pilot, I didnt have a 55 so I figured it was better than nothing until I can get a 55, put clip on 3rd from top and screw @ 2 turns out. I havent rode it yet I have to wait til the little one wakes up. dont want to wake her! LOL, Cant wait to rip er down the street if its better than I will get a 55 pilot tommorow.

You said in your origanal post that you had the clip in the 3rd position from top. I think it has 6 positions move to the 4th position from top
