OK. There are several of us females here on this forum. We all ride with men, and it sounds as though all of us are fairly strong riders. What do you men think of riding with women? I've ridden with one that I hate! She was slow, whiny, and a total chicken; she had no business riding on a fourwheeler by herself. I know that I strap on my helmet, pull on my Fox outfit, and ride to the best of my ability everytime I go out. Please be honest...I know I harbor some paranoia when I ride with some new guys because I don't feel comfortable riding in 4th gear on the trails. I always wait on everyone to go first, then I pull up the rear of the line, that way the speen demons can go on and have fun. Come on ya'll, let's hear what you think!!

Trailqueen,

Here is a two part answer.

First, we have many women in our ATV club who ride. They range from a grandmother in her 60's to a couple of 11 year old sisters. The sisters I mention have been riding for about 7 years & they are better riders than many of the guys in our club. The only thing holding them back is their kid size quads.

Second, I ride with my wife. She is cautious & sometimes to slow for my liking. She is getting better everytime we ride, so I can't complain.
What more can you ask for? I wife that rides!

Men or women have nothing to do with it.. That has nothing to do with your ability.. I tend not to ride with those riders that are without enough experience or just have no business being on the quad without some more practice time. I am speaking about fast technical and long rides... I may not be the best rider, but I can keep up with most anybody at the dunes, mountains or desert.

I do spend time with those that I mentioned and I try to help with confidence and knowledge..

Remember, everyone at one time or another has been, or going through every stage of riding ability. Some just progress faster than others

i think some people have a state of mind for riding.

You just don't have to care if you get hurt, have little common sense, and no regard for your saftey. Then you can have a blast!

I don't think it matters what gender you are. If you have it in you to be a good rider then you will be.

To me riding is a mental thing as much as a physical thing. Some people can pick good lines through mud, down trails and on the track. Some can't.

I ride sometimes with this guy, he has been riding for 3 years. And he can't do anything. He wrecks everytime you go out with him! He climbs no hills, no jumps. Just puts around.

peronaly i think it makes no difference. i have ridin with some guys thats are as chicken as they can get..and i have ridin with a women who could tthrough some roost so it makes no difference really if your male or female...what does matter is how much you love the sport.....just my opinion

something else i think there should be more female riders, agian just my opinion

I have no problem with riding with women I think its great that they want to get out and do it. And if your not comfortable riding fast thats fine too just ride in the part of the group that you are comfortale with. I ride with guys that would rather ride in the back at a slower pace and we just wait on them at trail splits.

Ms. Trailqueen quit trying to make us seem like the bad guys.
I love girls who ride, in fact my girlfriend rides and I love it.
She has her own quad a 1992 suzuki LT250R and I have my scrambler, we both enjoy riding a lot together I pass at times to riding with the guys to go riding with her.
I think because we both do something we enjoy are relationship has reached a higher plato.

Trailqueen,

You go girl! I wish my wife would ride
with me but she's a nurse and deems it too
dangerous. My ex-wife rode 3 wheelers with
me and riding was a blast, can't say the
same for her though. I'm one guy who would
never tell a woman she couldn't do something.
And any guy that does should stop and think
about where babies come from, guys don't
do anything that hard!

This is just my two cense worth. My friends and I ride, and the wives stay home. I don't ask to go shopping with her, or ask to go get my nails done with her so we can chat. NO CHICKS ALLOWED! Wait a minute, I mean NO WIVES ALLOWED! All you early 20's, late teens and maybe even 30's drop dead awsome chicks that wear skinny tops(or topless), and cut off jean shorts(or bathing suit bottoms). Please ride with us! Oh Please come ride with us!

The above was just a day dream of mine.

Really I think it's cool that anyone can ride, usa is a great place to live. Just for everyones info, my 5yr daughter Hannan has a E-ton 50 that she loves to ride, and I love to take her.
