06'trx450r mod problems

i removed the stock snorkel to the carb and put a velocity tube with K&n filter for my intake.(modified stock airbox).
I bought a dyno jet kit stage 2 and the jet wasnt big enough. I found a 160 and used it. the quad started running alright but now I hit the rev limiter very quickly.

i am buying a dynatek fs progrmable cdi box. and I have bought a 185 jet for the carb.

am I heading in the right direction? and what kind of power gains am I looking at?
Thanks for the help..

Depends on who's jet you are using. Honda jets and aftermarket jets are different. One is numbered according to hole size and the other numbered by flow rate.

Yes, it needs to be richer.
I believe the aftermarket jets flow leaner per number than the Keihen do
Sorry, I do not have the conversion chart in front of me. It is in my tool chest at work. You may have to google search for a conversion chart
