08 rancher 420 4x4 es must do,s?
Well after searching many forums for atv,s this looks like the most infomative so i thought id join, coming from a motorcycle background and my bloods been lime green for 35 years, i bought a red rancher, i,ll be doing my own service as im the chief, cook and bottlewasher for my sons supercross team, im just curious of what needs to be done or checked on this unit before really putting it to the test in the mountains of colorado, i have experience in atving but this is my first purchaseive got 8 miles of break in on it and will be changing the oil to rotella 5/40 full synthetic(i use this in every vehichle, toy, race machine i own) awesome stuff..so far ive taken the seal out of the airbox and put a bead of silicone in the grove and reinstalled the seal to make sure its a tight seal, dielectric greased all connections, gonna change diff fluids to synthetic 75/90, gonna silicone the the airbox intake boot and sensor grommet, install uni-filter, im probably gonna leave it all stock except maybe some different tires and wheels when these get trashed, any input on what should be done or products that are useful would be greatly appreciated....ps. if you need any info on any kind of golf car repair or kawasaki kx250f tips let me know, thanks in advance for the replies

Sounds like you have it all covered, I did these things 10 years ago first when I bought my Foreman 450 and it has NEVER let me down. I'm currently doing a 10 year anniversary clean up and glad to see that my preventative maintance has paid off!!!
Best upgrade you can do is replacing the tires. Stock tires are usually not that aggresive and soft (prone to punctures so have a plug kit handy). I'm currenlty running ITP mud lite XTR radials...fantastic tire for many conditions.

Clutch adjustment...good addition to the list!
100 hours is awful long to wait for a synthetic switch! It is broken in by 10 hours, especially if you use the break it in hard method, and absolutely broken in by 20 hours (that's why the first valve adjustment is done at 20!)....so absolutely no reason to wait any longer than that!
