300EX with 2001 Raptor 660 rear shock
Bolts right in, I had the hose lengthened to make it easier to attach the res. to the frame, but it is a HUGE improvement over the little stocker, much more adjustment, and it was built for a bigger quad, so it takes a lot more pounding to bottom out. Combine that with some 400ex a-arms/shocks up front, and you will have a much better riding and handling quad. One of the best mods I made to my son's 300ex years back.

Only the 2001 Raptor shock will work, all other years put the res piggyback on the top of the shock, will not fit under the air box. The 400 ex a arms bolt right up, the stock brake lines are long enough, some will tell you you need longer ones, but I have not had a problem in years of use. You will need a kit to relocate the top shock mounts for the longer 400 front shocks, or your front end will sit up rediculously high, they sell kits on eBay for that, or if you are good with a welder, you can remount the frame tabs yourself, but with a bolt in kit, you won't be cutting/welding on the frame. If money is a problem, you could probably use a Warrior rear shock, it is heavier duty than the stock one, and is more adjustable, just not as good as the Raptor shock.

better handling and an awsome ride !!! the 400ex shocks are awsome and youll bottom out the quad before you bottom the 400 shocks
the 400ex arms make your quad about 1inch wider in the front... I made my own braket
as for the rear the 660 shock will handle the big jumps ,where the stocker would blow...
i used a 350x rear swinger with spacers 350x rear shock + 350x rear axle and hubs ( the 660 shock will be eaiser, and you can use wheel spacers to widen the rear ) note:the 350x shock will not bolt to the 300ex swinger
but the end result is nice... i have to try real hard to to tip my quad on the side wheels now that ive done the mod and the ride is awsome ,not to mention it looks cool as well
