Cutting Fenders

I was woundering if any one has cut there own fenders and what is the best tools to use and best way to do it to keep it symetrical. How do u make them look so cleanly cut.

To determine where you want to cut them use a dry erase pen. That way can can mark your fenders a few times while figuring out where you want to cut them. It just wipes off.
I have cut the fenders with a jig saw with a fine cut metal blade. Some people use a rotozip, but i find I have better control with a jig saw.
After cutting you can sand the edges of the fender with fine sandpaper to take off any rough spots and to knock down the edge of the cut.

just like red 400 said i use a dry erase then i just use a gringer then i just go on the top at a slight angle an do the same to the bottom then sand with 80 then 160 then 220 sand paper then i just wash the bike real good soap and water then just give it a nice glassy wax. we race mostly in sand so i dont have to worry about getting it dirty, just other bikes behind me . it gets a lil dusty is it. just use like a rag and wipe em down i sumtimes spay on this glossy looking liquid i dont remember the name of it right now just to keep the look there from time to time
