Price for Rancher

Is $4799 a good price to pay for a 2008 Rancher 4x4. If not, what is a good price.
Also, where will I be able to find better prices; rural, or urban dealers? Thanks.

I use southern honda as a comparison when I price models, they usually have the cheapest. They have them for 4833 fe and 4683 fm. So I would say you would be getting a good price.

Again, see us about breaking it in!!!

It needs to be broken in hard at first, to seat the rings. Do not ride it around in the yard or up and down the street. I do nasty monster hillclimbs to seat my rings (fortunately I have lots of those in the hills behind my house!). I go uphill fast, then trun around at the top and come down in low gear under heavy compression braking.......

Also, do an oil/filter change at 1 hour, to get any metal shavings out of the engine. Stick with petroleum based oil during break-in (I like Maxima Premium, but Honda GN4 is ok), then you can switch to a synthetic after that (highly recommended!).

Change out the gear oil in the differentials early on...for the same reason.

Absolutely, do not neglect the 1st valve adjustment at 20 hours!!!

My Rancher was broken in properly, and I run very slick high tech Redline ester synthetic oil...and this little machine screams!!!

wow! Great price. Making me consider getting a second one just for my lady. It's an awesome machine. I'm very very happy with it. You get a big bang for the buck with that machine

Yeah...I'm thinking about a second 420 for the g/f. She really likes the Rancher 350, but I know she would like a 420 even more.

We did a nasty technical ride yesterday with big rocks in places and narrow trails where if you made a mistake, you would roll it down the mountain....and she thought it was great fun!

Yeah its a great way for a couple to spend time. I think were both lucky to enjoy such a fun sport with our ladies. I can't believe the places the Rancher can go. I had it in some very rough spots and got out just fine. Wonderful machine. I have the manual shift and love it!
