holeshots on a 400ex
#22
Holeshots and Razr's are almost identical when it comes to rear tires. I have ran both, and it is hard to tell the difference when both sets are brand new. The major difference I have notice is that when a Holeshot gets a few races on them they don't go as well as a set of Razr's with the same amount of time on them. The Razr's seem to last a lot longer than the ITP's. Now the fronts are a totally different story. The Razr's from my expierence are definately a better front tire. The Holeshots have a lot more side tread than the Razr's, and this tends to make the bike move around a lot more when you are in any type of ruts at all. This may not be bad if your just out play riding, but if your racing a GNCC national for 2 hours it seems to wear you out a lot more. This is why you see all the top GNCC guy's who run ITP's cutting the side tread off of there Holeshot front tires. I hear this makes them work a lot like the Razr. I have not tried the Holeshots cut that way, but I have a brand new set on my quad waiting for the GNCC's to start. Will see how they work, if not I'll be back to running Razr's.
