I now have a 450es,and I can get about 100-110km on a tank of gas including reserve,on average.I have 27x12x12vampires all around, and do most of my riding in fairly deep mud and water, and riding on railway beds.
My ? is,do do you think i could get as far on a tank of gas on a ruby with the same tires, and driven in the same conditions? The ruby does have a bigger tank doesen't it? Thanks for all replys!! SWAMPDONKY 450es 27x12x12vampires soon to be replaced by a Ruby |
It would very close maybe tiny bit less then your 450.

I have wondered about this myself. My problem has been that most of the trails I ride are two way trails, that is, they are not loops. The longest ride I have taken was 50 miles. I was pretty sure that I would have been on fumes as I pulled back in, so I let it run for a while to see if I was that close. I never opened up the reserve tank and it never stopped running or even hiccupped. I don't know how far it would have gone on the main tank alone.
Longer than I could have gone, that is for sure! |
The mileage was figured out by ATV Magazine in the last issue. It had the best milage (in their test) of 21.54 between all other 500cc's and above.
