im doing maintenance on my 05 honda recon 2x4. i have done maintenance on other quads before, so i just need to know what oils and stuff i need. keep in mind that i am in central florida and it will be in the 90*-100*F range over the summer. what oil weight and type will i need? what oil filter will i need? what oil will i need for the rear gearcase? is there anything else i need? any help is appreciated, thanks!

 

Again...don't be a cheapo....go get yourself an owner's manual, and better yet a service manual as well.

Pretty much the same, except the Recon has no oil filter. It does however have a very effective centrifugal filter that needs to be serviced every 200 hours or so.

Again....don't neglect valve adjustments!

 

Can someone tell me more or how to service this "centrifugal filter", And 200hr?? How do most of u judge this because we dont have hr meters
