Default Our first accident....

So, we got our brand new 08 foreman yesterday morning and went out with friends that afternoon. There was a steep incline and the 4 wheeler flipped over on us. We were with several friends (11 4 wheelers in all) and they had to take the wheeler off of us. UGH!! Husband has a sore chest and knee, and I have a VERY sore chest and knee. I am hurting so bad I was close to going to the er. I will probably go to doc tomorrow.

Good news is the foreman is ok!! LOL

Scared us half to death though.

Well doesn't the machine say right on it not to ride double? Thankfully you are both OK but most ATVs are not very safe when riding 2 people on a machine designed for one person......especially not up a "steep incline" .........

Hey, it happens. Just be careful and know your limits. Like the others said it isn't safe to ride double on a machine not meant for it. I mean you can go around on easy trails, but on steep inclines you need to jump off.

I'm glad you weren't hurt more seriously. I also agree with the others about being careful on a single rider machine. Especially on hills where the weight on the rear of the machine can cause a backflip as you described. If I had a single rider machine I would definitely have the passenger get off on any steep hills. A rider effects the machine's center of gravity quite a bit. At least, the passenger has to lean just like the driver even on a 2 up machine.

We are very lucky we weren't hurt worst.

We did learn our lesson about the steep hills.

I hope you heal up quick, you're lucky it wasn't worse. Those utes can crush you.
You said you learned your lesson about steep hills, I hope you leaned your lesson about riding double on a machine made for one.
There is a reason there is a warning label on the fender, you SHOULD NOT ride double on a machine made for one!
