It seems that the atv market is lacking the perfect quad, which would be a 400ex with 4x4 with reverse. Anyone have any idea why Polaris is the only one making an attempt at this market? I'd buy that quad if it wasn't so heavy.

one reason because it has such a big hit in the sport quad market and plus it's chain driven. honda would have to make a brand new drive shaft quad. it would be a cool quad though

No they wouldnt the polaris is Chain in the back and shaft in the front

yeah and look at polaris. it was 100 times easier to make a new motor then to modifeied the 400ex motor which has already been modified from the xr400r, just to be able to put a diriv shaft in.

It would not be very sporty if it could not be swtich to 2wd for more of a fun factor, and by the looks of it now Honda is dead set against the 2wd/4wd idea.

That would be the dumbest thing if they did something stupid like that!!! LOL

That would be a great quad. It would have to be lightweight though.

Why not just buy a yamaha wolverine and paint it red?? 4x4 sport quad with reverse and you can buy it now!
P.S. I do ride Honda though :)
