2007 honda foreman shifting problem
the electric shift only works sometime ,and sometime if i turn it off in gear, the electric shift will start back working. at first the gear indicator was flashing 3 times and I changed the angle sensor , it still does the same thing, except its flashing 5 times now. if anybody could help I would greatly appreciate it . Thanks......

The book says to check the 2 pin connector on the shift motor to make sure it is clean and tight, then to remove the 5 pin from the ecm (computer) and check for volatage at the red/yellow pin on the ecm side (middle on the group of 3), check for continuity to ground for the pin for the green wire, and finally unhook the 2p and the 5p and check for continuity between the two plugs for the orange wire, and for the green/red wire.
Then jump a 12v battery to the control motor terminals and see if it runs.
Finally it says to reconnect everything, and see if you still get the blinks. If not, temporary failure. If so, bad ECM.
With ES it would be a good idea to disconnenct the battery and clean every plug and connector on the machine with some contact cleaner, blow out with compressed air, and pack them with some diaelectric grease...
