My son has an 08 TRX250EX. We ride woods for fun, no MX tracks.

I want to make this quad last as long as possible for him...was thinking of a Big Bore Kit.

Does anyone make one? Experience with it? Link?


Any other general other upgrades reccomended?
So far I've done:
*wheel spacers
*Big Gun Slip On
*Bumper + 6pack rack

What about wheels/tires? The OEM wheels do have a bit of a "round" profile...should I be looking for some more squared-off wheels? Bolt patterns and other models that fit??

 

In my humble opinion, if you are wanting it to last as long as possible, don't bore it out. Keeping the entire motor and drive train (including tire size) as stock as possible is the best way to make it last. Notice I said tire SIZE. You can change tread and profile design, but don't change the size. Well, ok, maybe an inch or so is ok. But at least leave the motor alone.
