Looking at 2009 Honda Ranchers. Different options?

Hello I am looking to buy an 09 Rancher. I prefer the manual shift but am curious if the manual shift has the digital speedometer? Also I wish they came in Black.:( What seems to be a good price for a 4x4 manual shift 09? I have been quoted $5200 before tax. Is that very good? Thoughts on this ATV? Thanks.

I have an 08 Rancher 4x4 manual shift, that I bought about a year ago (left over) and paid about $4,350 out the door. So being that you are looking at a left over 4x4 manual shift 09, I would push for an out the door price of no more than $4,500.

About not having a speedo, I purchased a rugged mountain bike speedo from WalMart for about $25, mounted the speedo on the handle bar, epoxied the sensor to one of the front wheel brake calipers, and then epoxied the the magnet to the inside rim. So every time the front wheel turns the magnet that is glued to the rim passes over the sensor attached to the caliper and I get speed, trip, odometer, trip time, temp, and other features that came with the $25 digital speedo. All I had to do is program the speedo to the diameter of the tire which on the Rancher is 24 inches. My buddy has an 09 ES that he paid $5,200 for out the door last year (non left over) and when we go riding my speedo and his digital display read the same distance so my setup is pretty accurate.

Last time I was at WalMart I noticed they now sell a wireless speedo, but the wireless sensor takes a battery and is larger than the wired speedo and I bet the wireless sensor would not fit on the caliper so I would avoid the wireless speedo and stick with the wired one. One last thing, when I installed mine I ran the wire of the sensor to the speedo up along the front brake line wrapping it around as it went up to the handle bars.
