Honda Rancher Seat

I know there has been alot of talk about how uncomfortable the '07-'09 Honda rancher seat is to some people..........me and my wife included.
After hearing about the new and improved seat on the '10 models, I went to the dealer to check one out.
However a simple 5 minute sit on one at the showroom floor was not a good test.
So after some time I decided to just order one and give it a real test.
Spent 6 and a half hours and 80+ miles on my new and improved '10 rancher seat yesterday and the findings are:

Is it softer.......maybe a little
Is it more comfortable.......maybe a little
Was it worth $85 shipped to me.....yes
Did my butt still get tried and sore........YES (maybe at my age I have no padding left in my old butt)

So the final answer to everybodies question........the seat seems to have a little more padding and it feels to be of a memory foam type. Cause at least when you sit on it, it seems to form to your rear end. Which I like, cause the old style seat I always had issues with rough terrian and steep down hill of sliding towards the front of the seat.....I couldn't keep my butt to the rear of the seat where I like to sit.
All and all I like the '10 seat a little better than the older seat and to me it was worth the $85 bucks. Was it a big improvment, NO! it still needs more cushioning, at least for this old butt.
Hope this answers some people's questions. Now you can decide is it worth that to you.

tramp, thanks for reporting your findings, I am one of those who wondered about how much more comfortable the 10 seats are compared to the 07-09 seats.

I have a 2009 and a 2010 Rancher, had not noticed the seats were different....must not be a big change.
