others on here say the hondamatic can make a ratcheting sound, thats not good at all- my rubicon has been flawless and the only clicking i have ever herd is my sub-transmission if i rev it up in netural and put it into drive before its back down to idle.

It should hold 5.2 quarts if you removed both drain plugs and changed the filter.

The Rubicon is a dry sump design. To get an accurate oil reading you have to let the quad idle for around 4 or 5 minutes, and sit for two minutes.

If after cleaning the carb you ended up with a higher idle speed that needs to be adjusted.

Lastly, I would for sure run oil rated API SG or better and JASO MA, for motorcycles with a wet clutch design.
