2005 400EX won't start
 

I turned the fuel valve off and ran the fuel thru about a month ago and now it will only run for a second or two afterpressing the starter button for awile. I removed and cleaned out the carburetor and it still is not working

When you cleaned the carb did you make sure to clean all the jets thoroughly?
Did you make sure the floats aren't sticking?
Did you put fresh fuel in the gas tank?

is it cold out? 400ex's are very hard to start in the cold weather. my suggestion is install a 42 pilot jet, pump the throttle 2-4 times and then crank it over

I removed and cleaned the two jets with carburetor cleaner. The floats were not sticking and when I open the drain screw fuel runs out of the float bowl. I put fresh gas in it along with some Sta-Bil. Is it possible when I ran the gas out of it the quad jumped timing?

I got a manual for it yesterday and it appears I didn't clean the pilot jet. So hopefully that's the problem
