Remember a coupe of weeks ago when i was wondering if I should trade my 250r for a 400ex.well now someone wants to trade me a bonestock 2000 for my 250r.It has maybe 15 hours on it!It still looks new!what do you think?I want something that I can ride all the time.Plus now my 250r needs a bearing carrier.i was thinkin his 400ex and 500 bucks and it will be a deal.I love my 250r but that pretty 400ex is awful tempting!

Why would you even consider that. Most people would kill to have a 250R. Every Tom, Dick, & Harry has a 400EX anymore. They're a nice quad but a nice 250R isn't something you come by everyday.

Man I would do it hands down
|
get the EX, the R's are relics!
maaaaaaaaaaan, I know I'm gonna catch crap for that comment, but that's the truth! |
Dude I hope that ex is already in your truck!!!
|
There is NO WAY I would ever give up my R's!!!
A bearing carrier? BFD! Buy one and put it in and ride! A R can outdo a 400 at ANYTHING!! |
So how do you like the new 400EX? You did get it right!!!!
|
an R could not beat a 400 in tight woods or on a small MX track... stock for stock with same ability riders... those areas demand low-end torque and smooth horsepower, which 2-strokes don't have.
the R doesn't beat the 400 in dependablilty or user friendliness either... the 400 uses pump gas and has electric start... there are many advantages to the 400EX... besides that, it's impressive when an EX beats an R, because the R gets all the hype... but that will change with time. |
Well I talked to people at school about this and they think I am crazy for even thinkin about gettin rid of my R.But with the 500 bucks I could do some stuff to it and race xc.And still be able to ride it around my house. To ride my 250r I have to change the tires and wheels, mix the gas,and then stay away from neighbors because it is so loud. Here it the pro's and cons.
400ex 1. con= Everybody has one 2.pro=gas and go no mixing 3.pro=Ride it around my house and still race 4.pro=Could use the money for shocks 5.pro=I love riding my cousin's 6 pro=electris start 7.=great play bike 250r 1.con=can't ride it around my house or in the woods 2.pro=IT'S A 250R! 3.pro=Needs not mothing except bearing carrier to race 4.pro=It is sweet as heck 5.pro=Faster and handles better than ex. 6.con=ick start 7.will only go up in value not down. 8.con=not a woods bike at all And if I do trade it will be tommorow or saturday. |
i cannot believe you even thought of giving up your 250. iv road the ex and i thought it sucked. i was not impressed at all, but mayebe thats cause i have a banshee. but like that other guy said everybody's got a ex, why do u think the other guy is getting rid of his ex for your 250???? because the 250 is 10X more better!!! keep the 250 or sell it to me :)
