14 tooth front sproket, what's the big deal

ok, now i am slightly more confused, my X has a stock 13 tooth front sprocket, what would happen if i went to a 14 tooth front sprocket, what size tires should i run with it, what will i gain or loose? thanks!!!

If you put one on you will lose a little bit of low end, you won't have to shift as fast, and you will have a higher top speed. This is all based on stock 22 inch rear tires.
