Hi Folks, I am ready to purchase my first ATV. I have decided on a Rancher or 300 or a 450. I want a 4x4. I am looking at used models a year or 2 old. What is considered "average" miles or hours per year? What is considered "break-in" milage. Thanks for your help!

I dont think there is a law that after (x) amount of hours it is high milage. I would guess that about 250 hours a year is average. Most of use just ride on the weekends for about 5 hours at a time (5x52) But look at the quad, make sure it is in good condition. If it is and you ride it and enjoy it, BUY IT!

If your looking for something 2yrs old get the 300 and don't worry about the milage/hours...they'll go forever.

we do on average and hour for every 10km.....i think

and get 10 months out of a set of tires on out 450

good simple wear indicator for a 300 is the wear on the gas tank........funny as it sounds.....

hours wise the last 300 4x4 i owned did 8500hours we reckon........we just couldn't kill it......your lucky do get a tractor to do that sort of hours with minimum fuss!
