Wider tires vs offset rims?

Hi all. My recently purchased 05 Rincon came with a 2+5 offset in the rims, plus wider tires (10" front and 12" rear). All in all, much wider which equals good in corners, but hard to steer at low speeds.

If I could only afford to:
a) go back to stock tire size (8"front and 10"back) or
b) go back to standard offset rims (5+2),

which would you choose for easier steering and better riding?

Is the stiff steering MORE in the 2" wider front tires, or the 3" rim offset?

Thanks

Somebody put SRA rims on an IRS bike? Yikes I bet that looks like a mess.

Even the fronts are 2+5 off set? and with 10" wide tires on top of that?
The most cost effective would be put the 10" tires wide on the back and by some 8" or 9" wide tires for the front.

Your set up gives it that bad boy go anywhere look but the good stock handling is long gone as well as a power hit and top end hit.

The most important thing is deal with the front and lighten it up. Put some 9" wide Mazzis Zilla on the front. There 26x9 are under 20lbs each while most are 25lbs in that size. Your 10" must be almost 30lbs.
10-20 lbs off the steering will be felt greatly.

Your 12" backs maybe fine there just going to follow the fronts lead.
