What's the trick to easy kicking on trx 450r
 

I see all these guys at the races kicking their bikes over sitting down on the seat with no effort at all. 60+ hp motor too. What's the trick to making it kick so easy

Squats? I felt the stocker kicked pretty easy, but you should be totally off throttle or else they get cranky. I wouldn't be surprised if most racers have added a "hot start" switch as well.

Lol yea and someone told me the other day to set decompression a little tighter so I'll try both.

All kick start 450r's have a hot start button.
I can kick mine over sitting down, when it's at running temp, and I'm a 56 yo guy.

I have a 06, 07, and 08 450r and I converted them all to kick start so there's no hot start. I got the decompression set right on now so figure out the easy kicking

I know that when cold (first start of the day) if you pump the throttle 5 times first, it will start up right away.
Also roll the piston to the TDC position before giving it a good kick.
