Sorry for not giving enough information, I bought this way. As far as I know all the guy did was clean out the carb.

It has a brand new battery, I don't know about the charging system. I have read about a guy who had a problem very similar to mine and he had water in the generator or something. He figured it out by pulling out the wire connector and water came out, but I know nothing about this.

I started it and pulled the pos cable off the battery and it made no difference so the charging system should be good.

If you could borrow an meter to check charging or have someone to check it for you...If unit not charging atv will run crazy,Im not sure the test you did like an person would check an auto is enough to disregard charging system..If atv not charging and disconnect cable no different doesnt mean not charging I wouldnt think....How would atv run different when take cable off IF not charging to start with?..I would feel better if you check with an meter and then give us the readings so we all can rule out charging system..Were all here trying to help.just need more input to help find the problem...

Okay I will see if I can, I started it today and after I killed it I pulled the air box lid off and a bunch of blue/white smoke came out. Don't know if this is normal or not?
