I was driving my 300EX today when i heard this ticking around the engine it was right low at first and i didnt drive it that much, afterword it got right loud and when i was on my way home it just died. i couldnt get it started. it would try to turn over but just wouldnt go and i even tried jump starting it and it wouldnt work, one of my friends said it might be the valves, does anybody know about this, i would like some help if you know about this. thanks

 

When you tried to start it did the motor crank over?
It could possibly be the valves but i would think that if that was the problem you would have had other symptoms before today...like a ticking motor.

 

MY motor on my ex was ticking really bad but it ran until i finally took it around to get fixed, the whole top end was shot.
