In your opinion what is the best trail in Minnesota and Why?

My favorite riding spots aren't in Minnesota at all. They are in Wisconsin.
Check them out:
Park Falls
Iron River

Go to Calumet, Minnesota. That is somewhat centered in a riding area with hundreds of miles of trails, at least 8 large gravel pits, and many, many iron mine dumps and pits.
I am going sunday (hoping for good weather) I am taking my Brother-in-law and his friends. Last time we went, we put 103 miles on one of the guy's odometers. He didn't ride as hard as the rest of us, because he broke his hand trying to catch Todds 250SX on a backflip, halfway through the day. He was a diehard though and kept riding all day! We left at 8 am and I got home at about 10pm.
Anybody who wants to do some serious trail riding, AND thrashing, Email me. We are going Sunday. Bring money, we usually stop at a restaurant for lunch. Plus there are gas stations scattered around. We usually fill up 3-4 times, when we HAVE to, or when we get a chance.
You don't have to do a 12 hour day either. If you want, we can schedule a meet at a certain time and place.

Howdy !
Just north of Mpls, there is the St. Croix trail system, since you have a 4wd, it might be a lot of fun, trails can be really muddy, they twist and turn all over, and join up with other trails, even ones going to Wisc. The Gandy-Dancer trail can be accesed from there, and a couple of others,if I remember correctly. Maybe not the greatest trail system, but it is very close to you,and a good start for someone new to the sport. Just have fun, and tread lightly!

boots11234, Where are you in Mpls? I live in South Mpls. Sounds like you have a nice ATV, I'll ride with you sometime in May or June but have so much work to do now and on weekends. I like to just do a full day starting early and ending late either on a Sat or Sun. I have not found the best trail yet and still looking. Wisconsin sounds good but I like area's of the north. E-mail and we'll hook up.
Take care,
Take care,

geeze i didn't even know there was such a thing called trails in minnesota. down hear in wabasso there isn't a whole lotta places to ride besides my track, other peoples tracks, gravel pits, and in the ditches. but i don't have a 4X4, i have a quadracer and a banshee. if anybody lives by me in southern minnesota and wants to go riding, we could go sometime.
