There isn't a lot of clearance between footwell plastics and tyres. We fit 3 wheeler tyres to a lot of 250 Honda Recons and have to be careful how big we go, 28" not a hope. To be honest, if I was going for a specialist bike I wouldn't chose the Recon, it is good for what it was intended, a lightweight utility bike, ideal for rounding the cows up at milking time and going round the fields checking the livestock are OK.

Also remember going up on position size can open a whole new can of worms with jetting.

Its a Honda Recon. I had one once, its a good entry-level machine. You can't do much stuff to a Recon, it has maybe 18 hp. The best you can do is go with more aggressive tires and a winch. Its only 2wd, so go with some more aggressive rear tires like mudlite ats. Won't do much good to put different tires on the front unless they're completely worn out as it does help a little with steering in the slippery stuff. It just doesn't have enough clearance or power to turn really huge tires.
