I recently took out the carb of my 300ex. I don't want to open the carb again...but if I absolutely have to I will. The quad doesn't idle for long and even after riding when i put it in neutral and stop the throttle it cuts off very quickly. Any suggestions...
personally, I think that I need to screw in the pilot jet in a bit more?? am I right? |
When you had the carb apart, did you mess with the throttle stop? You may just need to turn up the idle...or adjust the throttle cable properly.

try turnin in the idler screw a little until it idles right. that should fix it.

how would i turn up the idle? where is the idle screw? I was thinking of tightening the FUEL MIXTURE SCREW...are we talking about the same one?

STart it and turn the big black nob on the bottom of your carb and it will get better .
