Recently my Honda 300 4x4 has been running strange.....the power seems to surge on and off even if you hold the throttle steady, and sometimes, it just cuts off and wont start up for awhile. I thought i had water in my carb, cause i recently sunk my fourwheeler, and filled the airbox with water. Today i took my carb apart, and there wasn't any trash or water in it...I cleaned it anyway though...and i've also recharged my k and n filter. What could be the problem, could my jetting be wrong? I rejetted when i added all of my accesories except for my snorkel....which i just tuned in with the fuel/air mixture screw. So what could be my problem, it only a 99 so i doubt i need a rebuild?

 

i have not encountered that problem with this bike. i do periodically run Sea Foam in the gas to clean any debris out of the gas line and carburater. i always just check: make sure the choke is on off, make sure the air is in the on position on the gas tank lid, and make sure the gas is on.
