Welcome Back!

I've been reading the forums for a few months but i haven't had a hole lot of time to reply.
If any of you remember some of my posts .. I ended up blowing the top end in my 99 300ex..
Well after alot of work and $700 later it runs again!
I'm working on setting it up for MX racing, I'm trieing to find the best nerfs for my money, and so far i hear AC is the best (is this true).
As for pipes I've decided on a pro circuit T-4, is this a good pipe? I've never heard any complaints with this pipe as to other pipes (fmf megamax 2).
For tires I'm gonna go with 20" fast trekkers in the rear and leave my kenda front max on the front (atleast for the first season).
Ok now heres one i don't see alot of posts on: Tether kill switches- which ones are the best?
Also if anyone has any suggestions on mods and such that I should do to my ex let me know.
I'm gonna run stock shocks and a-arms for the first few races because I'm not sure how compteitive my 300ex is going to be against the other machines, because you never know i might end up selling it to buy a 250r/400ex so i can atleast keep up.

The T-4 is a real good pipe , I have one and I love it , not too loud but it has "authority"

yea i like the T-4 also i ride with killer250r and i have dg nerfs i like them alot i have heard that the AC nerfs are good as well?

I just got a new front sprocket for my 400EX before my first race. I dropped it from 15 to 14 teeth, and I could really tell the difference. It's a $20.00 mod, takes about an hour (for me, at least! ) and helped me alot out there on the track today. More power on the bottom end! You might consider doing the same thing....

AN HOUR ??? I hope that includes the drive to the store to get it and the drive home ! takes me about 5 minutes !!

ex_master I would recomend you dont gear it down , there allready slow enough now ! I recomend a 13 front with 38 rear , Thats what I have on my X and it hauls a$$ it will beat a stock 300ex in acceleration and I 300ex with W/B pipe ,K+N filter , and a Dyno jet jet kit , my only power mod is a pipe and HIGHER gearing then stock. I wouldn't recomend going up a tooth in the front because you either A) take off the case saver and risk the chain going threw your case , or B) grind it down <which weakens it> and makes it more likely to just breaK the case saver and still go threw the case , stick with the 13 up front !

Yeah, it took me a while, but it was my first time! What can I say?
