My parents drive a 97 4wd blazer!

ugly,

You think your tires will bark at 40 mph huh? Are they worn down to the wires? No Sonoma I've been in will bark the tires at 40. Trust me, I've driven many 4.3's. I do believe that you beat the Cutlass though. So your post isn't a complete exaggeration.

Oh come on I thought it was a constant of the universe that subarbans got less than 10 MPG. It must have been your Tahoe that caused all the fuss in science a few months ago when scientists discovered that some sonstants weren't so constant.

Sorry yall for asking this, i wont trying to start a ford/chevy battle. I just want to know what any add ons would look like on a red 97 blazer 4wd. And to the person who wanted to be my bro, my parents didn't buy this car for me. My dad got it in 97 and drove it four 2 years, then my big bro turned 16, and he drove it for two years, and now i turned 16 so i'm driving it.

I'd sell it, thats probably the best mod you could do with a blazer. Get a Bronco with a 351.

HondaMan85 12-22-2001 01:05 PM

I don't want to sell it, and if i do, i want a a f150 supercrew 4wd, black, lariat. I don't even like broncos so thats out of the question, and i don't like the old blazer k5 either.

BringIt 12-22-2001 04:13 PM

Hey, now we're talking. Newer F-150 (97-up), or older. If older get a 351, if newer get the 5.4. Great engines, tons of torque. Good Aftermarket, more for the 5.8, than the 5.4. But thats becuase the 5.4 is newer.

lolNo my tires are not worn down to the wires. It will bark em though.U have to brake torque for a couple seconds and just hold it floored.Until it shifts to 2nd and it "barks" them.I am not completely sure that it wll do it at 40.But but I think it is atleast 30-35.If it wouldn't have rained I would check today.

And oh yeah a tahoe it ALOT smaller than a suburban.Everytime I post something on the stupid furom people start saying I am lying.I have read some REAL b.s on this furom and people just reply to it like it is nothing.

My Truck Has 220,000 miles on it, but it has had a crate motor put in it for preformance, but other than that the only thing thats been a problem was a U joint. And i have 33 inch super swampers on it witha posi rear end too.

ugly 12-22-2001 11:31 PM

Alright guys I did a test before I went to work.It was dry enough so I did.I went to a remote road and punch it a couple times. When I punch it at 30 mph it downshifts back to first then at 40 mph it does chirp the tires.I swear it does I am not lying.

Yes I could use a new pair of rear tires.(They where new when I got the truck)It is not a posie just a single track. It does have good limited slip though.

My speed is a little bit off.2 weeks ago I went down to my freinds school and all the way there the speed limit is 65mph.I set the cruise at 65 mph.I passed 2 off those things on the side off the road that tell U how fast U are going and they said 58 mph both times. So my speedo is off by 6-7mph.So really when it upshifts it is at about 33-34 mph.

But I swear it will do it.I am not sure how to prove it though.
