I have just found out that Dirtyhowies will soon have a conversion system to install the Honda OEM TraxLok 2wd/4wd system on Honda 300, 400 Foreman, 350 Rancher, older 450 Foreman, and 500 Rubicon. As soon as I find out more I will let you folks know.

Hilifter has had the same product out for a few months, sorta pricey @ $450. Have heard no reviews on ease of install or performance. Can anyone help? See Hilifter.com for more info.

The H/L system is totally aftermarket whereas the Dirtyhowies conversion is with 80% Honda OEM parts from the 2002 450 Foreman.

BigRed450 how hard do you think installation would be? Are you planning on putting it on your 450? Also I don't think highlifters is out yet, that's why there is very little information available.

The HL system is a replacement front driveshaft. It will not affect the operation of the differential. Installation of either wont be dificult all you should really need is a ball joint seperator which cost me $16.00 this weekend.

The Honda OEM TraxLok system is actually part of the front differential, so you will only need to remove the front diff to make the change.

How much is this kit expected to cost? Hopefully Honda will be putting trax-lock on other 2003 models.

The price is now $350 US + $50 if you want a locker installed before it is shipped and if you add another $125 you can get the competition model in which key parts are Cryogenically tempered for strength and duribility...
