I used the Cometic gasket with copper cote and after about 10 hours oil starts seaping from the head gasket. Hasnt blown and lost compression but oil is starting to spray drops on the motor after a race. Anyone else had this problem? And if so what did you do to correct or what gaskets did you use? Could the copper cote be hurting the application?

Ya a friend of mine has a 440 with the high compression and it leaked at the same place. He ordered a steel gasket from Power Roll, we installed it and no more problem. Hope ya get it figured out.

I had the problem on a TT600,when I went with a 13:1 piston the oil shaft on the side would start leaking where the head meets the cylinder,I replaced the rubber o-ring with a copper washer and it stopped.

common problem with the honda with the high comp, the stock studs cant handle it ...they pull out and you blow a head gasket....pull the valve cover gasket and retourqe the head bolts ???? were they loose??? if they were you need to get it to lrd for a stud kit ........

get any kind of gasket you need and see if you can find this sealer called ''1211'' it is made by threebond and it is a silicon liquid gasket. worked wonders on my bike.

I know exactly what you are talking.....do this, and you can run exetremely high compression and it not leak.....first use a metal head gasket, second, there are 3 long 6mm bolts that go all the way thru your rocker arm cover, thru your head and into your cylinder....if you can get extra torque on these three extra bolts, you can eliminate ever blowing a head gasket.....heres what you do, go to this site

http://www.barnbolt.com/lanl/cat_item/knsrthlk.htm

what you see there is a threaded locking insert....you drill the three 6mm bolts out to the outer diameter of whatever the o.d. of your insert, screw it in by hand, then tap the wedges in.....I think I used 1/4 inner threads, meaning I replaced my three 6mm bolts with these.....these work 10 times better than the crappy spring wire helicoil....gives you tons of torque....they work great for stripped frame holes, anything.
