After 8 months of waiting for an engine and a lot of elbow grease my 1987 FST/Powroll Honda 300X is done. She featrues Maier black race cut plastic, Durablue Eliminator +4 Axle (chrome [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]), 400EX tires, RAD Dual Row bearing carrier Polished alluminum [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img], FST 330 kit for a 300EX (bumping it up to 300cc's) with 11:1 compression, Milled head, ported head, +1mm intake valves, Stiffer valve springs, Powroll 3" Supertrapp race exhaust with header, All new bearings all around, +2 (250R) A-arms, pro design kill teather, Maier Rear Disc guard, DG Nerfs, FST Oil cooler, UNI air filter, Sunstar sprockets and last but not least Magnum Alluminum handle bars.
I did all the sand blasting and painting of the frame, A-arms, and hubs myself too might I add. Oh and I'm waiting on my works shocks so they'll be in soon too. It's too dark now to take pic's now so I'll post them tomorrow. |
Sounds sweet. Your gonna have to go 400EX huunting!!! Let us know when pcis are posted. Did you use stock 250R A-Arms, and that added 2 inches or were they +2 250R A-Arms? |

I'm gonna post more pics tomorrow once I get time. I want a graphics kit but I cant seem to find anything good. Any suggestions? It kicks over harder then my friends KX500 but believe me it's worth it. I only have about 15mins on the engine so I can't really tell you how much faster it is. Tomorrow I'll have time to ride around and break it in a little more.
