I have a Honda 4 trax foreman 1987 I took the spark plug out to put a new one in but it is not going in as usual. Usually I can put it in part way by hand then use the socket but it will not go seems to start but goes hard didn't want to force it.
What happened and what do I have to do?? I have changed plugs numerous times without having a problem. I would appreciate any help you folks would share with me. Thanks len |
You Didnt strip the threads out did ya, you may have to drill it out, put different threads in it then get a plug adapter, thats the only thing I can think of.

Maybe you left the washer from your old park plug in the threads... look real close with a trouble light.
|
If you're gonna chase the threads in the head, you'd better remove it first unless you like getting shavings inside your motor.

If you do "chase" the threads with a tap, put some grease on the tap's shank. That will make the chips stay on the tap, not in your engine.
