brakes are squaking?

when my friend hits his brakes at any speed it squaks and sounds pretty bad. does anyone know whats wrong?

Might just be wet, has he just washed the quad or gone through some water? Had a Blaster that occasionally when the brakes got wet sould make a god awful racket, after they dried, problem went away.

i rode a blaster that did that also. i am thinking it is stuff on the drum disk in the back and on the drums in the front. not sure but yes it does make one hell of a racket

Change the brake pad to the sintered brakes. They are better then kevlar for mud and water. If it continue, check rotor and possibly the drum. See if rotor may be slightly warped.
