It really depends. Is she the type that soesnt want to learn a clutch? cuz there are some ditzy *** woman out there who just cant understand a manual clutch. Overall i would get the warrior. Most torque and has reverse and chit. 250ex would be nice if she doesnt want the clutch. Itll probably do like 53 mph. 1. warrior
2. 250ex 3. 300ex

1 250EX
2 300EX
3 Warrior
Do you want your wife beating you or keeping up with you thats the real question?

I recommend, without a doubt, the warrior. I own a 96 warrior, and must admit that it is bulletproof. I estimate that there is 3500 hrs on this motor, and I have only adjusted the valves once. That is the only motorwork i've done to it. As long as you perform routine maintenance(air filter, oil changes, etc..) you won't have a bit of trouble. I just rebuilt a friends 98 300Ex this past weekend, and it hasn't been beat nearly as hard as my warrior. I'm not saying they aren't a decent machine, they ALL are. I think that no matter what choice you make, you won't be disappointed. If it was me, I'd get her a cannondale

Good Luck with whatever you choose.

the warrior's front end is to heavy and doesn't handle as great as the honda's do...I would prob. go with the 250ex if I were you...that's just my input though

my wife has a 250ex that i put white brothers exh, k&n jet kit and filter, skid plates, and hole shots. she loves it. i have a warrior that i like, hers is a bit tippy, but i put 20x12x8 on the back and just changed ti holeshots on the front keeping the same size. it made quite a bit of difference. she knows how to use a clutch but prefers not to, so thats why she wanted the 250ex. so far she has gone just about every place that i have gone on my warrior, we do a lot of trail riding. if your wife doesn't want to have a clutch then i would say get the 250ex.

If she is willing to master the manual clutch, go with the 300. It has plusher suspension than the 250, and she will enjoy the ride much more. The 300 is a full on sport bike, where the 250 is kind of an intermediate bike. The 250 is a nice ride too, it's just not as refined as the 300.

I see you have kids. If they are old enough that they will be riding soon, the 250 would be something they could grow into later, so that is a consideration. I would suggest replacing the stock tires (I prefer Holeshot XC's, but I ride in the desert) on either the 250 or 300, right off the bat.

Stay far away from the Warrior! I owned one for years and speak from experience!!! See my comments on the Warrior in the post titled "300EX or Warrior", currently running in the Honda Forum.

if this is the first time your wife is riding, the 400 may be too big. the 400 is for experienced riders because it has good power. i would go with a 300 or 250, depending on what she likes (clutch or no clutch). i would go with the 250 so she can get used to riding a quad. if she already has experience with a quad, i would go with a 300. good luck man.
