300EX or Warrior
#1
i'm getting a bike by the end of this month, i'm leaning towards the warrior even though i keep hearing that the 300ex is better. But the only thing other then wheelies, lighter in the front and weighing alot less the the warrior, i can't see whats so much better about the 300ex. I have rode both and i like them both, but the warrior just has more power....
But don't come here and say how much lighter the 300ex is than the warrior because it is only 25lbs! so don't give me that bs!

Do a search and you'll find tons of info on 300ex vs. warriors.
I've owned both. I prefer the 300ex. Even though the warrior is faster on top, the 300ex has superior handling, so you can actually ride 300ex faster than a warrior in tight trails. Warrior is better for fireroads and sand. 300ex is better in the woods, easier wheelies, and more controlable jumper.

hey thanx lots 82lt, but i have a question.... what is a fire road? i'm still a lil new and learning new things. But one of the main reasons i want the warrior is becuase my friend has a 300ex, and my other a 400 ex, i want to beat the 300 and somewhat compete with the 400. But where we ride is mainly a big field or wider trails... and could the warrior beat on the 300 though pretty easily. I know the stearing is better on the 300ex but i dont' see that the steering is going to be completely horrible. Anywase the power could help me through the 300 coming out of turns right? or wrong.. plz help. thanx lots

the 300ex handles better, wheelies much better, and jumps much better (more control), it takes minimal mods to get the 300ex faster than the warrior on the top end, and i think that the 300ex has more low end pull, at least mine did. my 300ex used to eat warriors, and i know you dont wanna hear it, but the 300ex is lighter, and 25 lbs. can make a big difference when it comes to overall handling and ridability.

Holy SHEEET!!! someone from the Honda forum actually recommended a Yamaha. Better mark this one on the calendar. I bought a Warrior new in 96. AT THE TIME, it was the best 4 stroke for me. I am 6'6", 250 lbs., it's plain and simple that the 300EX is a much smaller machine. Anyone over 6' tall is gonna have it rough on the 300. This was my first quad, and I have become accustomed to it's handling. I can hop on a 300 or 400Ex, and honestly feel that the steering is terrible. That is only because I've been on the Warrior for so long. They are both reliable machines. Bottom Line... if your under 6', get the 300, otherwise, get the Warrior. I don't think that you'll be disappointed either way.
I liked 92LT's idea... get a used 400EX for the same price.
