how can i fix my scuffed up plastic? can it be painted and not chip off or be easily scratched? how you go about relocating the ignition for diffrent bars?

Well, I have heard some people here claim painting their plastic worked for them, but coming from an automotive bodyshop background, I just can't see it on something that is as flexible and takes as much of a beating as ATV fenders. That said, here's what I have done.....

Take a very rough grade rubbing compound with a electric buffer. The level of scratching will determine how much time you will have to spend. I have made my ATC250R fenders look like new with this method.... You may want to play around a little with the steel wool on heavily scratched areas, then hit them with the buffer. Also, use a regular buffing wheel for cutting, not one of the newer finishing sponge type wheels.
