My buddy had a brand new R6 and is layin in the ER right now as a result so my new bike is going. Dont want anyone to go through what he is right now. Not even my worst enemy.

I love bikes, and that bike looks great. But be sure thats what you want.

Man, i love 'em, but it took one instance of road rash to keep me off them forever!!!!! I took a spill on I-10 in Mobile AL , rush hour traffic, never again will be on two wheels!

They Look, sound, and ride perfect. That's a nice bike. I'd never buy one though, my friend got killed in a crash when a car hit him, he didn't deserve that. He wasn't married though, thankfully.

buy mine, its a 1998 cbr 600f3 red and black, ONLY 4400 MILES (extremely low) Excelent condition, tank bra, polished wheels, $4900 and its yours (i live near indianpolis)

Why buy an F3 when an F4 is far superior...for about the same price??

KNOWSALOT 07-28-2002 01:14 AM

Superior would be an overstatement.

The F4 has edge in power

The F3 has the edge in handling

Why not buy both and you'll have a nice 600.

BTW...the F4 is a good bike, but stay away from the F4i...those things are more trouble than even the almighty GSXR1000.......unless you get a warranty or have extensive knowledge with fuel injection.

derekhonda 07-28-2002 01:43 AM

Yeah, far superior, i forgot, they completely revised the bike. wait, nope its just about the same. Mine has lower miles, same or better condition, and (if i remember correctly) 2 more extras. it is a year older, but thats why it would be $800.00 less. Ohwell, buy what you want, my bike will sell, not worried about that just trying to show you other options.

If your looking for a bike I would say get the any gsxr, you get a 100gsxr and you'll never regret it.

You might want to check out www.cycletrader.com... at least you could narrow your search for something close to home.

600 Supersports are great bikes to learn on... and as people mentioned great bikes to get killed on. Hopefully you'll wear a helmet and only open it up when you're on a familiar road without any cars. My best advice is to ride as if you are invisible to everybody. I've been riding for 10+ years and currently have a CBR929RR.

Yamaha YZF-R6/600, Suzuki GSX-R600, Honda CBR600F4i, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.... I've seen some of these selling new at shops for around $7000 or less. So figure a great deal on used one (1999-2001) in great shape will depreciate about $800-1000/year.

Good Luck.
