I do believe honda is going to be coming out with something ni the near future. Whether it is a 450 ex or a 650 is a guess. They already have those engines made and they don't have a 750 so no way no how there gona make an entire new engine. Sorry, no 750 ex will be coming out this decade.

Honda is making a CRF450 based quad as we speak should be released late '03 or late '04. I can't say it any better than Ohio250rlover if they want to make something new "it better have a CRF450 motor bolted in". Honda sits and watches the competition then releases something improved. maybe that could put that little thing from the 86-89 what was is called .... "R" enough said.

 

I don't know if this means anything but the Honda commercial doesn't show the 400EX, it has the 250EX and 300EX but no 400EX. Just thought I would point that out if it means anything at all.

You know deep down 750 is a fantasy dream for us power loving riders. To bad and honda wont come out with a 650 sorry guys not this year. These days and age you dont need a huge big bore quad to kick some ***. Its all about how you ride the quad and not who has the most expensive big bore. The Raptor is an example 660 but hell where is all the extra HP. It aint there its just for all the saying its a 660. Look at the 400 and z400 great quads with similair amounts of horsepower. Sorry Mr. Raptor your days are being numbered, haha "Polaris Predator is gettin hungry." I would tell you i bet you but i have no money to spend haha. O well CRF 450 sounds bout right. More or less PERFECT!!!!!!!!! If it doesnt appear 03 it will come out in 04. Its a great engine which is already been put in quad frames for guys to race with. Dont expect it to be putting out 55 hp or something like that. It will be tuned very differently but look for 35+ ballpark for hp. I would love to see it and i thinks its coming

Secondly alot of your logics of what honda is coming out with next could be true(except the 750ex). We will have to wait and see what happens but i would not wait along for honda to make your dream machine. Either buy a honda and live with it even though its less powerful or go to another brand.

 

I can't wait to see what they come out with. I doubt you will see anything more than 35 hp, maybe a couple more. It seems that is the standard now for new sport quads. None of the manufacturers are going to come out with something that will blow by that number because of the lawsuits. If they came out with a 450, I wouldn't buy one. I do like the big bores. If they built a 650, that would be my next quad. I like quads to have at least 45-50 hp. The 450's will already be hopped up to get the 35+ hp. You'd have to do a lot of work to get the HP up. If they produce a 650, it would be choked off to keep the HP #'s down. Luckily it doesn't take much for the big bores to start puttin out some respectable numbers. Anyway, I hope they do build a big bore. I still have a 1973 z-50. My dad bought it for me when I was 4, and it ended up in storage. Anyway, I had that thing running again with just a few hours work. I mean, change the oil, new spark plug, a little this and that, and it fired up. That says something about Honda engineering. I'm the traitor in the family now that I bought a yamaha, but if honda puts out a big bore sport quad, I'd be first in line to buy it.

 

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Dont expect honda to come out with something you totally expect because it wont be.
