I need a little information on lower ball joint replacement for 86-87 250r lower A-arms.......I have a '91 250x that I use for crash testing purposes that I am going to switch over to a 250r A-arm and shock setup that a friend gave me....but the ball joints in the lower arms are worn out.......are they replaceable in any way so that I do not have to replace the whole A-arm....I'm trying not to spend a lot of money since I only use this 250 just to play around the house with.
Thanks in advance, larrydale |
Sorry, but the whole a-arm has to be replace if the ball joint does not screw in. Some people did cut the solid ball joint off at the end of the a-arm and put in the aftermarket ones from any of the a-arms makers. But you might have to make a sleeve to take up the extra space in the hole. I have not done this but some of my friend did before they bought aftermarket a-arms for there R's. If you have the time and the equipment it can be done.
