I don't think honda changed anything on the 2003 honda recon from 2002 in the motor and chasis aspect, but they did give it a new yelloe color that looks pretty nice.

I see you live in a snowy area like I do. How well does the Recon do in the snow? How many inches can you get through? Thanks.

Well I was very suprised with its ability to go trough snow and drove it all winter. I just had stock tires on during the winter, but I was in about six inches of snow with very little problems. If you know how to drive good you could go pretty well anywheres and if you did get stuck all you got to do is just lift it out. Though there was one time when there was so much ice I could shift all 5 gears and not even move, had to be pulled around by the 650 =(. I can't wait for the snow this year b/c I bought a new snowmobile and to see how my tires do.

I have never seen a snowmobile. I guess there is a big following of these machines in Canada.

Can you use them 6 months out of the year?

Chet

Yeah snowmobiles are quit popular up here, but sadly they are starting to loose there popularity. The government is making to many rules and raising the prices on EVERYTHING, so its getting to be a very expensive sport. Also we do not get 6 months of snowmobiling in, though that would be my dream. lately, due to lack of snow we normally don't get out untill the end of January and put them away around April. Last year on our 800 we got only 600 miles. =(
