Default Recon ES - Problem or Not?

You will have to put up with a bit of cold blooded behavior, which seems to improve with a few tanks of gas. This can be improved by adjusting the mixture screw facing straight down I believe on the front part of the carb. ALWAYS do your carb adjustments on a fully warmed machine. turn the idle speed down as low as you can. Turn the mixture screw out slowly and you will notice the idle speed increasing. You should be adjusting the idle speed down as you turn your mixture screw out. You will probably end up about 2.5 to 3.5 turns out. When all done reset idle. If it still isn't satisfactory, bring it back to the dealer as it's always possible a pilot jet is partially clogged. If your idle is set too high, the machine won't shift into first or reverse very well either.

Default Recon ES - Problem or Not?

BTW - All of the kids have quickly adapted to the electric shift - What I thought might be a problem (shifting) has turned out to be the favorite ride.
